“A staggering, urgent accomplishment”, “Essential reading as timeless as it is timely” - Faith Adiele, PEN award-winning author.

“…poetic tribute to the courageous Oakland Moms, who challenged power and housed their families..” - Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States.

These are a few of the quotes written to describe newly published anthology “Colossus:Home”. The book is a collection of work from over 70 Bay Area poets and artists who take on the notion of home - the physical and the intangible. Where we lay our heads, what’s never existed or been there all along.

Oakland’s Moms4Housing Collective was the impetus for this anthology that aims to raise awareness on the homelessness crisis in the bay area. Colossus:Home pays tribute to the Oakland mothers who stood up to corporate greed and housed their families against the odds.

I am proud to have my work included in this exceptional book and even more proud that 100% of the proceeds will benefit @moms4housing. To purchase a copy, visit https://sites.google.com/view/colossuspress/housing?authuser=0.
